"Headway Emotional Services provides thousands of hours of high quality mental health services to students throughout our community.  They meet this need with compassion  and professionalism helping to improve the lives of students and families."

Allison Wagstrom, Portfolio Manager, Nonprofits Assistance Fund

Headway Emotional Health Services provides students and their families with access to qualified mental health professionals through classes and one-on-one counseling, and provides mental health professionals to 37 schools in five school districts. When Headway Emotional Health Services and Anoka-Hennepin school district joined together to provide services to the school district's more than 38,000 students, NAF provided a short-term working capital loan as the organization waited for the reimbursements for services provided to catch up. The loan assisted Headway in continuing to provide high-quality, much needed mental health services to students and their families.
