"When I met Michael Anderson [loan officer], I found him to be a very wise young man who was eager to serve his clients. He took my best interests and made them his best interests. I can trust him to do what is right. It is good to do business with people like that."

Dr. Vacharee Peterson, D.D.S and CEO at Community Dental Care

Dr. Vacharee Peterson, D.D.S and her husband Dr. Andrew F. Peterson, D.D.S always knew they wanted to give back.  Opening a private dental practice, they served thousands of uninsured immigrants for 18 years, but the need only increased. In 2005, they opened their doors as Community Dental Care, a nonprofit dental clinic in St. Paul. CDC soon had a waitlist of 1,500 patients and they opened a second clinic in Maplewood. Community Dental Care now serves 15,000 patients annually.

To better serve their growing patient population, CDC needed to invest in new equipment, costing over $130,000. In 2008, Dr. Peterson contacted Nonprofits Assistance Fund for a loan and a relationship began. When CDC needed to finance a new parking lot, NAF was there. Now Dr. Peterson looks forward to expanding and providing quality dental care to underserved communities across Minnesota.
