Nonprofits Assistance Fund and the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits are partnering on two great trainings on October 30 near Bemidji. Register now for the full day and save (just $60 full day for members / $75 for nonmembers)! This workshop is designed to make you more comfortable with nonprofit finance. At this workshop, you will walk through real nonprofit examples and reports that will help you understand jargon, accounting rules, roles and responsibilities, and procedures and policies. This workshop is right for you if you are new to the nonprofit sector, nonprofit finance, or your position as staff or board member.
EVENT DETAILS:
Food: Coffee and tea will be provided. There will be a lunch break in the middle of the session. You may bring a lunch or purchase one nearby.
Travel: BI-CAP is located 5 miles north of Bemidji, on Bemidji Ave North, first left after “CK Dudley’s” restaurant, across the street from Northwood’s Boat Landing on Lake Bemidji. See BI-CAP sign next to driveway. The workshop will take place in the “house”, not the office building. Open parking available near the house. Additionally, watch for parking signs indicating other parking sites and overflow, as needed.

Fundamentals of Budgeting

Nonprofits Assistance Fund and the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits are partnering on two great trainings on October 30 near Bemidji. Budgeting can seem overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be. Budgets are another tool for you to tell the story about your organization’s plans, priorities and aspirations. Learn about the relationships between budgeting, planning, and financial management. Walk away with a proven 10-step process you can use to craft budgets at your organization.

About the Presenter

Phil likes to train because it is often the beginning of a great relationship between NAF and the participants who attend. He enjoys using common sense language and real life examples at trainings to get people excited about nonprofit finance, which often leads people to call afterwards and talk about the finances at their own organizations.
